Fourty kilometres to the west of Zagreb, halfway between Jastrebarsko and Samobor, you will find Plešivica, basking in the sun, beautiful and unique, with its wonderful scenery and delicious home-made specialties

Plešivica is well-known for its amphitheatres, where vines have been grown and excellent wine has been made for centuries

Really it is a difficult task to say when exactly Plešivica looks more beautiful as it emanates its charm in each of the four seasons; in winter with the clean white snow that covers the hills, in spring when the hills start blooming, in summer with the rich cover of the dark green vine leaves, in autumn when a whole spectrum of colours appears, with many shades of yellow, brown and red

The Kurtalj farm is situated in this breathtaking region. The Kurtalj family is one of the oldest families in the region of Plešivica, and has been making wine, and welcoming guests to its farm for generations. Over the past fifteen years the vineyards have been regularly renovated and technologically advanced. The vineyards are located in the subregions of Plešivica: Hrvojka, Stošinec, and Veselnica.

The family owns the oldest family house in this region, where even today wine matures in cellars in old oak barrels. Next to the old cellar, which was built in stone, with beams, there are new cellars and a tasting room.

The tasting room is limited to 20 persons. We offer delicious home-made cooking. Please contact us in advance to make a reservation.
In order to experience that abiding love of viticulture, taste fine wine and enjoy the hospitality of your hosts, you simply must set out towards the Plešivica wine road and visit the very heart of Plešivica.

Come and visit our beautiful hills!
